Parental Leave Application
Starting in calendar year 2025, CSU expanded its parental leave program to offer new parents up to 18 weeks of paid leave. Parental leave coordinates with the FAMLI program for Colorado employees.
- 9-Month Faculty and Non-Classified Staff
- The first 12 weeks of leave run concurrently and are applied as “top off” with FAMLI.
- For weeks 13 to 18, employees will receive full parental leave pay.
- 12-Month Faculty and Non-Classified Staff
- The first 12 weeks of leave run concurrently and are applied as “top off” with FAMLI.
- For weeks 13 to 18, employees will use thier accrued sick and annual leave. Once leave balances are exhausted, the employee will receive parental leave for the balance of the 18 weeks.

Fringe Pool Reimbursement: This application provides for the transfer of funds from the fringe pool to the employee’s home department for Faculty, Administrative Professional and Non-Classified Staff and State Classified employees.
