WorkSTATE: Payroll Updates
With the transition to Workday as the university’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system, some payroll processes and policies are changing. Find key details and resources here to stay informed about these updates.
Monthly Payroll Processing Dates
Current: Monthly payroll is typically processed around the third week of each month.
Beginning in 2026: Monthly payroll will be processed later in the month, providing departments with additional time for entries and corrections.
Quick Pay Processing
Current: Quick pay requests are processed by payroll two times per week.
Beginning in 2026: Quick pay requests will be processed by payroll once per week.
Direct Deposit Account Setup
Current: An employee must have their entire paycheck direct deposited into a single bank account.
Beginning in 2026: Employees will have the option to split their paycheck deposit into two bank accounts.
Enhanced Visibility on Employee Payslips
Current: Salary details are not broken into categories, but show the entire sum as “regular salary”. Employees are not able to see leave usage details and salary categories on their pay advice.
Beginning in 2026: Details regarding leave usage, employer benefit contributions, salary category, and more will be visable on employee pay slips.
