Talent Development

Talent Development designs and coordinates training and talent development opportunities for personal and professional growth for Colorado State University employees. This is accomplished through live and online training, self-paced courses, programs, customized workshops and coaching sessions. Learning topics include:

Professional Education

CSU Online offers online and in-person professional development courses in multiple topic areas such as agriculture, arts, construction management, project management, wellness, and more.

Safe Zone Training

The Pride Resource Center’s Safe Zone Training is a 3-hour training program with the objectives of reducing homophobia, transphobia and heterosexism at CSU, thereby making CSU a safer environment for all members of our community across sexual orientations, romantic orientations, gender identities, gender expressions and intersections of identities, and creating a network committed to ongoing education and advocacy in order to support LGBTQ communities at CSU.

Professional Development Institute (PDI)

The Professional Development Institute, hosted by The Institute for Learning and Teaching, offers CSU faculty, state classified personnel, administrative professionals, and graduate students an opportunity to explore a wide range of topics designed to enhance their professional growth and personal enrichment as we build our future together. The purpose of PDI is to provide an opportunity to share ideas, explore issues, and gain insights into learning, teaching, and service, as well as other professional and personal activities.

CUPA-HR Rocky Mountain Chapter

The College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) is an organization that provides knowledge, networking, resources, and learning opportunities for HR professionals in higher education. The official Rocky Mountain Chapter represents public and private colleges in Colorado, Nebraska, and Southern Wyoming. The Rocky Mountain Chapter is an excellent resource to share ideas, ask questions, learn about the latest in higher education, and connect with other HR professionals. 

TEDxCSU

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events designed to bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxCSU is is held each year at the Lory Student Center (LSC) on campus at CSU. View previous years speakers.
