Habitat for Humanity Webinar

Are you interested in buying a home, but it feels out of reach?  Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity’s homeownership program partners with working individuals and families to buy their own homes with affordable mortgages.

Habitat’s future homeowners are involved in every step of the home buying process – volunteering with Habitat, getting to know our staff, and attending classes to become successful homeowners. Come learn more about the opportunity to buy through Habitat, applications open up in January 2025.

HomeWorks now at CSU

Colorado State University has partnered with HomeWorks to bring employees a new program designed to empower faculty and staff on their homeownership journey and enhance their overall financial wellness.

What is HomeWorks?

HomeWorks brings exclusive programs and resources to CSU employees, making financial literacy more accessible and providing valuable resources for financial health.

At www.homeworksbenefit.com, employees can learn all about the benefits, including:   

  • Significant discounts on home financing and real estate costs: Employees will have access to significant and exclusive discounts on mortgages and real estate commissions, making their path to homeownership and real estate investing more affordable.
  • Educational resources: HomeWorks provides a wealth of resources to guide faculty and staff through many aspects of their financial life. Whether they’re a renter, a first-time homebuyer, looking to upgrade, need help with their credit score or want to invest in real estate, these resources cover a variety of topics to help them make informed decisions.
  • Webinars and workshops: Navigating the world of homeownership involves various financial considerations. HomeWorks offers a series of webinars and in-person workshops covering topics such as maintaining credit scores, debt management, the pros and cons of owning vs. renting, home renovations, monthly budgeting and more. The sessions are designed to equip employees with the knowledge and tools needed to make confident and educated decisions about their financial future.

Adding HomeWorks to the CSU benefit package serves as an investment in employees’ financial well-being, and the Division of Human Resources is committed to supporting faculty and staff in achieving their homeownership goals and making informed decisions about their financial future.

 

Housing Partners Program

The Housing Partners Program is creating a network of real estate professionals that offer discounted services or other resources to CSU employees, including real estate brokers/agents, home inspectors, new home construction, etc. to aid in reducing the costs of homeownership for employees. New discounts continue to be added.
