Beginning in calendar year 2025, 12-month employees and 9-month faculty and non-classified staff are eligible for up to 18 weeks of leave. Specific information regarding eligibility is on the HR website.
Until December 31, 2024, employees are eligible for up to 3 weeks of parental leave.
For academic appointments, this is intended to provide a full semester of leave, plus one week before and one week after the semester, giving parents needed time to bond and care for the newest member of their family while providing continuity for students.
Leave is prorated based on FTE.
The employee is not eligible for parental leave.
Parental leave must be used concurrently with FAMLI and be used in one continuous block. Holidays do not extend Parental Leave and may be submitted for reimbursement when they are within the parental leave period.
Report the type of leave and number of days utilized per month. Human Resources will determine the total amount of leave deemed eligible for reimbursement. All leave requested must match the hours entered in TimeClock Plus.
