ComPsych provides no-cost, confidential assistance to help address personal and professional issues faced by employees (faculty, staff, non-student hourly, graduate assistants) and members of their household. Staffed by experienced clinicians, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ComPsych will refer employees to a local or virtual, licensed psychotherapist, answer legal or financial questions, or refer you to experts in the community.

Confidential Mental Health Counseling

CSU employees, graduate assistants and household members are offered six free sessions per person, per issue, per calendar year. Employees will be referred by a ComPsych representative to a licensed clinician in the community whose experience best matches their presenting concern, such as:

  • Relationship conflicts
  • Problems with children
    Substance abuse
  • Stress, anxiety or depression, grief, and loss
  • Job pressures

Legal Information and Resources

When a legal issue arises, attorneys are available to provide confidential telephone support (8-5pm) @ (800) 497-9133. If employees require representation, they can be referred to a qualified attorney in the community for a free 30 minute consultation and a 25% reduction in customary legal fees thereafter. Legal issues may include:

  • Divorce and family law
  • Debt obligations / bankruptcy
  • Landlord and tenant issues
  • Real estate transactions
