Dear Colleague,

As we near the conclusion of the semester, we want to remind you that as a Colorado State University employee, you are valued.

Like many employers, the university faces various budgetary constraints and cannot always pay our employees what private entity employers can pay. To offset this, Human Resources has focused on building excellent benefit options for employees. These benefits create significant value in addition to your paycheck – the value of your total compensation may surprise you.

To help you learn about the value of your benefits such as CSU-offered medical insurance, disability insurance, holidays and other paid time off, and additional perks, we hope you’ll take a moment to check out two total compensation tools we’ve created.

With these tools, you can:

  • Generate a statement that shows the value of your specific insurance coverage and other benefits.
  • Use a new calculator to show the value of benefits to prospective employees. The calculator can also be used by current employees to explore the value of changes to their benefits, such as adding an individual to their medical insurance.
  • Access these tools through the Human Resources website.

We hope you’ll take a moment to see how these benefits add to the value of working at CSU. And if you’re hiring for a position, please share the calculator with prospective employees.
