DCP Refund
As part of your CSU retirement, you may be eligible to receive a reimbursement for your medical insurance premiums (Medicare or pre-Medicare) because you participated in the defined contribution plan. Your amount is based on your years of service at the time you retired, and the maximum amount is $648/month for those with 20+ years of benefit eligible CSU service (prorated for those who have at least 5 years but less than 20 years of service).
It is your responsibility to notify Human Resources of your initial enrollment in the DCP Refund at the time of retirement. A WEX account will be created for you after you complete retirement counseling with Human Resources. You will receive an email with instructions when your account has been created. To enroll, email the WEX DCP Refund Enrollment Form and proof of premium to WEX at [email protected] by the 20th of the month your retirement is effective, or the last business day prior if the 20th falls on a weekend. The supporting documentation can be a benefit statement or invoice and should contain the following information:
- Your name
- The date or period of coverage
- The amount of your premium
Your refund will not be approved by WEX if documentation showing proof is not included with your enrollment form.
Any subsequent changes affecting enrollment including medical plan, premium costs, home or email address, phone number and banking information; and re-certification on an annual basis, will be completed directly with WEX. Payments begin on the first of the month following enrollment and no retroactive payments will be made.
