As part of your CSU retirement, you are eligible to receive a reimbursement for your medical insurance premiums (Medicare or pre-Medicare) because you participated in the defined contribution plan. Your amount is based on your years of service at the time you retired, and the maximum amount is $648/month for those with 20+ years of benefit eligible CSU service (prorated for those who have at least 5 years but less than 20 years of service).

It is your responsibility to notify Human Resources of your initial enrollment in the DCP Refund at the time of retirement; any subsequent changes affecting enrollment including medical plan, premium costs, home or email address, phone number and banking information; and re-certification on an annual basis.

A re-certification notice will be sent to your email address at the end of each calendar year. You must complete the process by the provided due date or your Refund will end. If it ends and you wish to re-enroll, your DCP Refund will not be re-instated until you notify HR and complete the certification process. Reinstatement occurs the first of the month following submission of enrollment and no retroactive payments will be made. If you are a new retiree, or need to update your banking information, please upload a direct deposit in this application.
