Fall 2022: Archived communications and town hall links

In Fall 2022, current, retired, and former CSU faculty and staff received communication about a review of their retirement plans. You can read more about the project update in SOURCE.

Participants were invited to attend a town hall to learn about the review and the future of CSU retirement plans. Please click below to view materials and recordings from these sessions. Please choose the correct category for your employment – information presented in the town halls is specific based on your employee status.

The goal of the exhaustive review is to help employees prepare effectively for retirement, to make it easier to save and invest in retirement plans, to reduce complexity, to lower costs for plan participants and to provide a high level of education to elevate your engagement in retirement plans throughout your career.

Faculty and staff were invited to learn about the progress of the retirement plans review project.

In spring 2020, a research-based review of CSU retirement plans was launched to improve CSU retirement plans and help employees better prepare for retirement.

The plans being reviewed include the defined contribution plan, also known as the DCP, the 403(b), and the student employee retirement plan. The review is led by a committee comprised of university leaders and other key university community members. Innovest Portfolio Solutions, a national consulting firm specializing in retirement plan and investment advising, worked with the committee to research and recommend retirement plan improvements.

Human Resources, the committee, and Innovest Portfolio Solutions hosted three town halls to update faculty and staff on the retirement project. Two updates were available virtually through Zoom, and one of the updates was held in-person at the Lory Student Center. The virtual session were recorded and are posted to this webpage.
