CSU’s FAMLI Program

The University has received approval from the state of Colorado to operate its own self-funded private FAMLI plan in lieu of participation in the state’s FAMLI plan.


November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month

Studies have shown that pet owners have lower blood pressure, reduced stress levels, and a decreased risk of heart disease. November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month, a time to reflect on the various health benefits of owning a pet.


Fall 2023 Well-Being Days

Well-being days are university-wide scheduled days of leave that do not count toward regular annual or sick leave. During the 2023 Fall Break, these days are Nov. 20-22. These days are designed to provide individual employees time to unplug from work and recharge.


Retirement Plans Review

The State of Colorado’s Supplement Program assists qualified state employees with the cost of their medical and dental premiums. The application period ends May 12.

State Classified Open Enrollment

Open enrollment for state classified staff begins April 11 and ends May 1. This is your annual opportunity to change your medical insurance plans, dental plans, and other benefits.


2022 W-2 Forms

Active employees can access their W-2 through the Human Resources portal Employee Self-Service on Jan. 27. W-2s for employees who have left CSU will be mailed by Jan. 31 to the address on file. 

New calculator, statement show value of university benefits in addition to pay

Jan 2023: Public health emergency leave extension

Public health emergency leave has been extended at least through April 11 for COVID, but it is no longer available for RSV (which stands for respiratory syncytial virus) and influenza.

New leave program tax deduction will appear soon on paychecks

Colorado State University is required to implement a payroll deduction on each employee’s wages to fund the new FAMLI leave, as well as to fund half of the cost of the program for employees.

2022

Defined contribution plan retiree refund certification

Eligible retirees should complete the annual recertification process by December 2, 2022, to continue to receive the medical premium refund in 2023.  

FITlife Wellness Incentive

Faculty and administrative professional employees can receive a $150 wellness incentive by completing four steps and completing the online attestation.

FY23 state classified pay and leave changes FAQ

The new fiscal year brought several changes to state classified policy, including shift differential definitions, premium pay for working on observed holidays, on call and call back changes, and annual leave accrual rate increases.

Public Student Loan Forgiveness

CSU is a qualified employer under the public student loan forgiveness program which forgives the balance on your Direct Loans after you have met certain eligibility criteria.

Winter Break 2021 Professional Development Days FAQ

The university will observe the additional holidays by closing offices on the full week of Dec. 20, adding Dec. 20 and 21 to the current university holidays of Dec. 22, 23 and 24.
